Why Choose Us?
Why Us?
Our at-home breeding program is built on a foundation of love, ethics and hands-on care. By keeping our program small, we are able to give every dog the individual attention they deserve from daily enrichment and socialization to thoughtful, responsible breeding practices. Our home is a clean, comfortable environment where each dog is treated like family, ensuring puppies grow up healthy, confident and well adjusted. We are committed to raising exceptional dogs who are ready to bring joy to their new families.
Health & Vaccinations
Our verterinarian Dr. Selby plays a vital role in supporting our dog breeding program by providing comprehensive reproductive care, routine health evaluations and professional guidance to ensure the wellbeing of both our adult dogs and their puppies. Through regular checkups and pre-breeding health screenings, our veterinarian helps us maintain high standards of health and responsible breeding practices. We provide all puppies with age-appropriate vaccinations under veterinarian guidance ensuring they are protected as they grow. In addition, each breeding dog undergoes DNA testing through Embark to screen for genetic health conditions and OFA hip health screening, giving new families peace of mind.

Why Bernedoodles?
A cross between a Bernese Mountain Dog and a Poodle —Bernedoodles are widely loved for their blend of temperament, intelligence, and low-shedding coats.
Intelligent and Trainable
Thanks to their Poodle lineage, Bernedoodles are smart and eager to learn. They pick up commands quickly and typically enjoy training sessions. This makes them great for first-time dog owners or families who want a dog that’s easy to work with.
Affectionate, Loyal, and Family-Friendly
Bernese Mountain Dogs are famously gentle and loyal, and Bernedoodles inherit much of that temperament. They tend to be:
-
Very affectionate
-
Patient with children
-
Bonded with the whole family
-
Gentle and friendly with people and other pets
They’re often described as “loving goofballs.”
Low-Shedding and Hypoallergenic Tendencies
While no dog is 100% hypoallergenic, Bernedoodles shed very little, especially the curly-coated ones. This makes them a great option for people with mild allergies or those who prefer a cleaner home.
Active but Not Overly Demanding
Bernedoodles enjoy activity—walks, playtime, hikes—but they aren’t as high-energy as some other doodle mixes. They strike a nice balance:
-
Enough energy for active families
-
Calm and mellow enough for relaxed households
Fun, Playful, and Social Personalities
They often have a fun, goofy side that makes them entertaining companions. They love being around people and frequently become the “family clown.”
Hybrid Vigor
Like many mixed breeds, Bernedoodles may benefit from hybrid vigor, meaning they can sometimes be healthier than their purebred parents. They’re still prone to some inherited issues, but overall they tend to be sturdy dogs with good longevity.
Good Therapy and Emotional Support Dogs
Their combination of intelligence, sensitivity, and affection makes many Bernedoodles excellent therapy or emotional support animals. They enjoy comforting their people and staying close.
